Resumo

Apresenta as iniciativas colocadas em prática pela CST para a redução da freqüência de não-abertura instantânea do fluxo de aço das panelas ao chegar na torre de lingotamento contínuo. O desenvolvimento seguiu os critérios da metodologia MASP, metodologia de análise e solução de problemas, respaldado na seqüência: identificação do problema, colocação de meta a ser alcançada, análise de fenômeno, análise do processo, elaboração de plano de ação e validação dos resultados. Como resultado do trabalho, obteve-se a redução de 65% (sessenta e cinco por cento) do uso de Oxigênio para desobstrução das panelas de aço durante início de vazamento. Tal redução expressa a alteração do índice de não-abertura instantânea de 2,40% (média de 1999) para 0,84% ao longo do ano de 2003; ela traz, como conseqüência o aumento da produtividade, melhoria das condições de segurança e aumento da qualidade do produto.

 

This paper shows the actions of CST company to reduce problems during begging of molten steel flow from ladles to the tundish. The development followed the criteria of MASP methodology, methodology of analysis and solution of problems, endorsed in the sequence: identification of the problem, rank of goals to be reached, analysis of phenomenon, analysis of the process, planning of emergency actions and validation of the results. As result of the work, it was gotten reduction of 65% (sixty and five percent) of the use of Oxygen for starting out flow. Such reduction express the alteration of the index of instantaneous not-opening of 2,40% (average of 1999) for 0,84% during the year of 2003; it brings, as consequence the increase of the productivity, improvement of the security conditions and increase of the product quality.
