Resumo

O foco principal deste ensaio teórico foi o de investigar os principais reflexos da Gestão Estratégica da Manutenção na eco-eficiência no ramo siderúrgico brasileiro. Desta forma, este estudo busca responder à problemática: Como estrategicamente a Gestão da Manutenção contribui para a eco-eficiência no setor siderúrgico brasileiro? A metodologia utilizada foi baseada em uma revisão bibliográfica que dissertou acerca do supramencionado título com o propósito de responder a problemática de pesquisa evidenciando os conteúdos relacionados à Estratégia Competitiva, Estratégica da Produção, Gestão Estratégica da Manutenção e a Eco- eficiência. Da análise dos resultados alcançados, pode-se concluir que a partir do instante em que a organização alinha as suas boas práticas de Manutenção como uma estratégia competitiva aos princípios da eco-eficiência, que permita uma Produção (Operação↔Manutenção) mais Limpa, econômica e ambiental, pode ser uma alternativa para a organização alcançar estrategicamente produtos e serviços eco-eficientes, isto é, proporcionar o melhor desempenho dos seus indicadores de ecoeficiência. Passando a ter como comprometimento o processo da Evolução Sustentável como um valor no desempenho das atividades, produtos e serviços das usinas siderúrgicas que integram este importante setor no Brasil.

 

The main focus of this research note was to investigate the main reflections of the Maintenance Strategic Management on eco-efficiency in the Brazilian steel industry. Therefore, this study tries to answer the problem: How does the Maintenance Management strategically contribute to the eco-efficiency in the Brazilian steel industry? The methodology was based on bibliographic review, which discussed on the above title in order to respond the research issues, highlighting the contents related to Competitive Strategy, Production Strategy, Maintenance Strategic Management and Eco-efficiency. From the analysis of the results, one can conclude that from the moment that the organization aligns its practices of maintenance as a competitive strategy to the principles of eco-efficiency, allowing a cleaner, economic and environmental production (Operation↔Maintenance) it can be an alternative for the organization to achieve strategically eco-efficient products and services. In other words, it can provide the best performance of its eco-efficiency indicators, having as compromise the process of Sustainable Development as a value in the activities, products and services performance in steel mills that are part of this important sector in Brazil.
