Resumo

A Aciaria recebe cal bitolada dos fornecedores, onde parte é britada e transformada em cal fina para enviar para os silos das Sinterizações da Cosipa, porém o volume enviado não atendia a necessidade total de consumo das Sinterizações. A Aciaria consome parte da cal bitolada e envia o restante para às Sinterizações, onde a variação deste envio chegava na ordem de 19,9% por causa da baixa capacidade para britá-lo na Aciaria. Com isso, as Sinterizações tinham que diminuir o ritmo de produção de Sinter por falta de matéria-prima (cal fina). Essas deficiências mostraram a necessidade de um estudo aprofundado no processo com a finalidade de melhorar sua eficiência e eficácia. Este trabalho proporcionou uma redução de 3,29% no custo do produto e no transporte (podendo chegar até 5,91%), eliminando as variações no abastecimento de cal fina nas Sinterizações e o controle de estoques dos silos foi facilitado pelo equilíbrio de abastecimento e consumo deste material. Houve um ganho na produtividade de 4,72%. Com a maior eficiência no abastecimento, um dos fatores mais significativos foi a redução no consumo de pelotas (que substitui parte da cal fina no processo de produção e tem um preço mais elevado) e a conseqüente redução do custo de produção.

 

The Steelworks receive narrow-minded lime from the supplier, where part is broke and transformed into thin lime and send to Sinterings in Cosipa, but the volume sent, not meeting the need total of consumption of the Sinterings. The Steelworks consume part of narrow-minded lime and sends the rest to the Sinterings, Where the variation of this dispatch came in the order of 19.9% because of low capacity to break it in Aciaria. Because of this, the Sinterings had to reduce the rate of production of Sinter for lack of raw material (thin lime). These deficiencies showed the need for a detailed study in the process with the aim of improving its efficiency and effectiveness. This work provided a reduction of 3.29% in the cost of the product and transport (could reach 5.91%), eliminating the variations in the supply of thin lime in Sinterings and control of stockpiles of silos has been facilitated by the balance of supply and consumption of this material. There was a gain in productivity of 4.72%. With greater efficiency in the supply, one of the most significant factors, was a reduction in the consumption of Pellets that replaces the thin lime in the production process and has a higher price, and the consequent reduction in the cost of production.
