Resumo

Este trabalho tem como objetivo mostrar a preparação dos pátios de matérias- primas da Gerdau Acominas, necessária devido ao processo expansão da usina, que passará a produzir 4,5 milhões de toneladas de aço líquido anualmente. Como conseqüência, os pátios sofrerão aumento no volume de materiais de aproximadamente 200.000t por mês. Para garantir que todo volume de minérios e fundentes seja estocado de forma bem regular e que o abastecimento dos processos seguintes seja totalmente preservado, foi feito um estudo sobre a adequação dos pátios, uma vez que não foram contemplados investimentos significativos nesta área. O trabalho foi feito em etapas, focado na mudança do tipo de empilhamento. Antes, os materiais eram estocados separadamente, e agora são empilhados juntos, formando pilhas homogeneizadas. Destaca-se um atendimento eficiente para as áreas de Sinterização e Alto-Forno da Gerdau Acominas com o aumento da área útil dos pátios e do índice de operação das máquinas móveis.

 

This work purposes to show the preparing of the raw material storage area in Gerdau Açominas, which was necessary due to the plant expansion process, that will raise its production to 4,5 mega-tons of liquid steel per year. As a consequence, the storage area will have an increase of approximately 200 kilo-tons of material per month. To guarantee that the iron ore and the flux will be stored in a regular way and to preserve the feeding of the subsequent processes, a study about the adequacy of the area was made, considering the fact that it hasn’t received significant financial investments. The work was divided in stages, focused on changing the piling up type. Before the work, the materials were stored separately. Now, they are homogeneously piled together. An efficient attendance for the Sinter plant and for the Blast Furnace is evidenced, considering the increase of the usable storage area and the machinery operating index.
