ANÁLISE COMPARATIVA ENTRE OS PROCESSOS DE FRESAMENTO 3 E 5 EIXOS PARA A FABRICAÇÃO DE MOLDES: COMPARATIVE ANALYSIS BETWEEN THE STRATEGIES OF 3 AND 5 AXES MILLING MACHINING FOR THE MANUFACTURING OF MOULDS

Esse trabalho de pesquisa tem como objetivo descrever os processos de usinagem na cadeia de fabricação de moldes envolvendo o fresamento de superfícies complexas em 3 e 5 eixos. Nas análises dos tempos da cadeia industrial envolvendo CAD/CAM (Manufatura Assistida por Computador), foram verificadas as vantagens competitivas sobre os recursos tecnológicos que podem reduzir os tempos de fabricação e os custos de fabricação na cadeia de moldes. Além disso, foi avaliada a acuracidade dimensional após a usinagem para a geometria proposta. Os resultados serão discutidos nesse trabalho objetivando as operações na estrutura CAD/CAM/CNC/EDM e suas contribuições para o desenvolvimento e atualizações para a manufatura de moldes e matrizes, trazendo reduções possíveis para os tempos, custos e aumento de qualidade.

This research has a goal that is describes the machining process in the mold and die chain involving milling of complex surfaces in 3 and 5 axes. In the analyses of times of the industry chain involving CAD/CAM (Computer Aided Manufacturing), it was verified the competitive advantages about technology resources that can reduce the lead time and the costs of die and mold chain manufacturing. Besides these, were considered the dimensional accuracy after machining for the proposal geometry. The results will be discussed in this research aiming the operations in the framework CAD/CAM/CNC/EDM and its contributions to the development and upgrades in the die and mold manufacturing, bringing possible reductions to the cycle times, costs and increasing of quality.
