After diamond, the cubic Boron Nitride (cBN) is the hardiest commercial material. However, the cBN inserts can be used to ferrous material manufacturing, as steel, due mainly the chemical high inertia. The sintering of cBN inserts can be obtained thought mixture cBN powders with some kinds of binders powders, as aluminum and titanium, under high pressure and high temperature, near 8.0GPa and 2000K, respectively. As manufacturing harding steel, the cBN inserts permits achieve finish superficial level similar to grinding. In the present work, the cBN inserts were manufactured, by sintering under high pressure and high temperature, using mixture cBN powders and aluminum powders. Tests of manufacturing were done to observe the performance of cBN inserts, also hardness testing and analysis by scanning electronic microscopic were achieved. The results obtained are important to understand the cBN inserts sintering behavior.
