Resumo

A Britagem terciária da usina de minério de ferro de Carajás opera com 06 linhas de britadores em paralelo e é responsável pela adequação da granulometria do material granulado proveniente da etapa anterior (Peneiramento II) preparando-o para a classificação seguinte (Peneiramento III), garantindo a qualidade física do Sinter Feed gerado nesta etapa. A maximização da produção deste produto com qualidade é de suma relevância. É neste contexto que aplica o britador HP5. Este modelo de britador apresenta características similares aos britadores HP500 atualmente utilizados na britagem terciária, porém com melhorias capazes de aumentar a performance em termos de processo e manutenção. A operação do HP5 teve inicio em Setembro/11 e os resultados demonstraram que o mesmo apresenta alta eficiência de britagem, superior ao dos britadores atuais (modelo HP500) sob mesmas condições de operação, maximizando a geração de Sinter Feed, com qualidade. Este fato traduz-se também em redução da carga circulante no circuito, permitindo-se trabalhar com taxas de alimentação novas maiores.

 

The Tertiary Crushing at Carajas iron ore plant operates with 06 lines in parallel and is responsible for the size adequation of the coarse material from the previous stage (Secondary Screening) preparing it for the following step (Tertiary Screening) that ensures the physical quality of the Sinter Feed at this stage. The maximization of Sinter Feed with high quality is very important. In this context we apply the crusher HP5. This model has similar characteristics to the Metso HP500 currently in operation at the Tertiary Crushing Plant but with improvements that provide higher performance in terms of process and maintenance. The operation began in September 2011 and the results showed a high efficiency, superior to the HP500 model under the same operating conditions maximizing the generation of Sinter Feed with quality. This fact is also reflected in reduction of the circulating load at the circuit, allowing the equipment to handle large quantities of feed material.
