Resumo

A Alunorte, em parceria com a ABB no projeto de automação, implantou duas novas linhas de produção de Alumina em sua Refinaria (Linhas 4 e 5), num projeto, chamado Alunorte Expansão 2, marcado pela utilização de um grande número de dispositivos em tecnologia fieldbus. O objetivo da Alunorte é obter a máxima integração entre dispositivos de campo e o sistema de controle e supervisão, obtendo informações que permitem a implementação futura de um sistema de gerenciamento e otimização de ativos. Para tanto, em um esforço de nível corporativo, ABB, Alunorte e fornecedores terceiros realizaram a integração dos dispositivos de campo de diferentes fabricantes com o sistema de automação 800xA da ABB. Como resultado, a biblioteca do Sistema 800xA aumentou para atender as necessidades da Alunorte e contribuiu para proporcionar um comissionamento em tempo recorde. Com o projeto Expansão 2, a Alunorte tornou-se a maior produtora de Alumina do mundo, produzindo 4.2 milhões ton/ano. Ela possui hoje diversas redes Profibus e Foundation Fieldbus, nas quais estão integrados 35 tipos de dispositivos inteligentes de campo de 11 fabricantes diferentes, entre instrumentos, relés de proteção, relés de controle de motores, inversores e outros.

 

Alunorte, in partnership with ABB in the automation project, has implanted 2 new Alumina Production Lines (Lines 4 and 5), in a project, called Alunorte Expansion 2, marked by the utilization of a great number of devices using fieldbus technology. The goal of Alunorte is to obtain a maximum integration between field devices and the control and supervisory system, getting information that allows the future implementation of an asset management and optimization system. For that, in a corporative effort, ABB, Alunorte and third part suppliers have realized the integration of field devices of different manufacturers to the ABB’s 800xA automation system. As a result, the 800xA System library has increased, to attend Alunorte needs and has contributed to finish the commissioning in a very short time. With the Expansion 2 project, Alunorte is now the largest world alumina producer, with 4.2 millions ton/year. Alunorte plant has today several Profibus and Foundation Fieldbus networks, in which 35 types of smart field devices of 11 different manufacturers, including instruments, protection relays, motor control relays, frequency converters and other devices are integrated.
