APROVEITAMENTO DO Cr DA SERRAGEM DE COURO PELA ELABORAÇÃO DE UMA LIGA Fe-Cr A PARTIR DE CINZAS DA INCINERAÇÃO COM ALTO TEOR DE P: Cr RECOVERY FROM LEATHER SHAVINGS BY MEANS OF A Fe-Cr-ALLOY PREPARATION FROM INCINERATION ASH WITH HIGH P CONTENT

Os curtumes geram enorme quantidade de resíduos sólidos durante o curtimento de peles, que, por causa do método usado, contêm cromo na sua composição química. Foi realizada uma análise dos processos de tratamento dos resíduos sólidos dos curtumes e da utilização das cinzas da sua incineração. O objetivo geral deste trabalho é mostrar que é possível a utilização do metal contido nas cinzas das aparas incineradas, como matéria-prima na elaboração de uma liga Fe-Cr, mesmo com teores elevados do elemento fósforo.

The tanning industry produces large amounts of solid residues during the process of leather tanning, which, because of the method used, have chromium in its chemical composition. A bibliographic analysis was done aimed at the compilation of the several leather shavings treatments and incineration ash uses. General aim of this work is to show that the recycling of the metal contained in leather shavings ash as raw material for Fe-Cr production is possible, even though the presence of high P contents.
