Resumo

No trabalho atual, são apresentados os aspectos estruturais das ligas temperadas Ti- Nb-Al, onde o teor de Al é mantido constante de 3% (em peso), enquanto o teor de Nb varia de 15 a 38% (em peso). A caracterização das ligas foi feita através da microscopia ótica, microscopia eletrônica de varredura (MEV) e da microanálise em raios-X característicos de Ti, Nb e Al (EDS) executados em distintos locais e ao longo de uma linha nas ligas. Verificou-se que as alterações na estrutura das ligas Ti-Nb-3%Al temperadas ocorrem em sentido de α’→α”(ω)→β metaestável, devido à modificação da composição de Nb como beta-estabilizador nestas ligas. Porém não foi observada nenhuma grande diferença na variação dos picos de EDS, comprovando a distribuição homogênea dos elementos nas ligas com 15 a 38% de Nb.

 

In the present work, are presented structural aspects of Ti-Nb-Al quenched alloys, which the Al content constant of 3% (in weight), and the Nb content variation from 15 to 38% (in weight). The characterization of the alloys was made using the optic microscopy, scanning electron microscopy (SEM) and EDS microanalysis X-ray characteristic of Ti, Nb and Al executed at different places and along of a line in the alloys. It was verified that the alterations in the structure of the Ti-Nb-3%Al quenched alloys occur in the direction α’→α”(ω)→β metastable, due to the modification of the niobium content as beta-stabilizer in these alloys. However not being observed any great difference in the variation of the picks, proving the chemical homogeneous distribution of the elements in the alloys with 15 at 38% of Nb.
