Resumo

O presente artigo tem como objetivo descrever a importância dos aspectos metrológicos ligados a medição do gás natural com ênfase no segmento industrial. Inicialmente será feita uma abordagem geral do mercado do gás natural, as mudanças pelas quais o mesmo vem passando nos últimos anos e os seus impactos no que tange às exigências para a sua medição. Posteriormente serão descritas as principais questões técnicas ligadas ao tema e as suas evoluções tecnológicas exigidas pela realidade vigente, realçando-se a necessidade de uma abordagem sistêmica para a medição do gás natural. Serão descritos os componentes de um sistema típico de medição de gás utilizado neste segmento de mercado. Finalmente serão relacionados e comentados os principais aspectos metrológicos envolvidos com a medição do gás natural nas indústrias típicas brasileiras.

 

This paper has the purpose of describing the metrological issues related to natural gas metering at the industrial market. Initially it will be described a general panorama of the transformations that had taken place at the natural gas Brazilian regulatory environment and its impacts at the metering activities. Then it will be described the most important aspects related to the natural gas measurement, like for example the most recent technologies and the necessity of applying the concept of measurement system in order to clarify metering issues. It will be also described a typical gas measurement system used at the industries. Finally it will be listed and commented the most important metrological aspects related to the industrial natural gas metering in Brazil.
