Resumo

A operação de cominuição do carvão mineral, no processo de pelotização da Samarco Mineração S/A, é significativamente importante para a adequação da qualidade física e metalúrgica da pelota queimada. O equipamento utilizado é um moinho de rolos vertical, com sistema de gases de secagem. O produto final da moagem é obtido no sistema de filtro de mangas, o qual tem a capacidade nominal de vazão de 50.000 m /h, com área filtrante total de 617,28 m . Com o aumento da demanda de carvão mineral, o filtro de mangas tornou-se um gargalo operacional, aumentando expressivamente a variabilidade da produção no moinho. O repotenciamento do mesmo disponibilizou uma área filtrante total de 826,69 m2, que garantiu uma vazão operacional de 65.000 m3/h. A alteração viabilizou a redução da variabilidade de produção e mitigou as paradas do moinho relacionadas à saturação do filtro de mangas.

 

The mineral coal operation of comminution in the Samarco Mineração S/A pelletizing process is significantly important to the fired pellet physical and metallurgical quality adjustment. The equipment used is a roller mill, with a gas drying system. The final grinded product is obtained in the bag filter system, which has a nominal capacity flow of 50.000m /h, with total filtering area of 617,28m . Through the mineral coal demand increase, the bag filter became an operational bottleneck, raising considerably the roller mill production variability. The improvement spared a total filtering area of 826,69m2, that guarantee an operational flow of 65.000m3/h. The modification brought the production variability reduction and prevented the production brake reached by the bag filter saturation.
