Resumo

Diante da necessidade de redução do custo de manutenção e do consumo/descarte de lubrificantes e filtros. Ações direcionadas ao custo operacional e meio ambiente. Foi realizado um estudo para verificar a possibilidade de estender a vida útil do lubrificante aplicado ao motor diesel da frota de caminhões Mercedes Benz Actros 4844 – modelo OM501LA. Para iniciar o estudo foram verificadas as análises e resultados dos laudos de preditiva da frota, onde foi confirmado que não havia alterações nas amostras retiradas com 500 horas, possibilitando a realização do teste/estudo para aplicação da nova periodicidade de troca de óleo e filtros. Diante dessas informações foram escolhidos 05 caminhões / motores com vidas úteis variadas para aplicação do teste. A vida útil destes motores possuía uma variação de +/_ 200 a 16.000 horas. O estudo foi realizado em dois ciclos de 1.000 horas, com acompanhamento detalhado a partir das 500 horas de operação (periodicidade normal) e os resultados foram satisfatórios permitindo o aumento da vida útil do óleo de motor para 750 horas. Esse trabalho possibilitou uma redução de 33% no custo de lubrificante e filtros de óleo do motor, aumento de 0,2% na disponibilidade física da frota de 96 caminhões e ganho ambiental com a redução na aquisição e descarte de óleo e filtros contaminados. Outro ganho que o estudo proporcionou foi adequação da carga de oficina sem a necessidade de aumento da mão de obra.

A study was carried out to verify the possibility of extending the useful life of the lubricant applied to the diesel engine of the fleet of trucks Mercedes Benz Actros 4844 - model OM501LA. To begin the study, the analyzes and results of the predictive reports of the fleet were verified, where it was confirmed that there were no changes in the samples taken with 500 hours, allowing the test / study to be applied to the application of the new periodicity of oil change and filters. Based on this information, 5 trucks / motors with variable useful lives were chosen for the test application. The service life of these engines ranged from +/- 200 to 16,000 hours. The study was carried out in two cycles of 1,000 hours, with detailed monitoring from the 500 hours of operation (normal periodicity) and the results were satisfactory allowing the increase of the useful life of the motor oil to 750 hours. This work enabled a 33% reduction in the cost of lubricant and engine oil filters, a 0.2% increase in the physical fleet availability of 96 trucks, and environmental gain with the reduction in the acquisition and disposal of contaminated oil and filters. Another gain that the study provided was the adequacy of the workshop load without the need to increase the workforce.
