Resumo

Foram realizados tratamentos térmicos nas temperaturas de 850°C durante 4 horas e 10 horas e 1.000°C durante 3 horas, para avaliar o comportamento microestrutural de um aço inoxidável ferrítico 444 a altas temperaturas. As técnicas utilizadas para avaliar as alterações microestruturais causadas pelos tratamentos térmicos foram a microscopia ótica e microscopia eletrônica de varredura. Nos tratamentos térmicos a 850°C em diferentes tempos, o material apresentou características do crescimento normal dos grãos, ou seja, crescimento de alguns grãos e diminuição de outros. Já o tratamento a 1.000°C o material apresentou características do crescimento anormal dos grãos, isto é, crescimento exagerado e desproporcional de uns grãos e o desaparecimento de outros.

 

Heat treatments at 850°C during 4 and 10 hours and 1000 °C during 3 hours were made to evaluate the microstructural behavior of a ferritic stainless steel 444 type at high temperatures. The experimental techniques to evaluate these microstructural changes were optical microscopy and scanning electron microscopy. With heat treatment at 850°C the material presents a growth of the several grains and decrease of the others one, these characteristics indicate a grain growth normal. With heat treatment at 1000 °C the material presents characteristics of anormal growth where several grains growth disproportionaly and others one disappear.
