Resumo

O objetivo deste trabalho foi investigar o comportamento dinâmico-mecânico de compósitos com diferentes frações, até 30% em volume de fibras continuas e alinhadas de piaçava reforçando matriz epoxídica. Esta investigação foi realizada através de ensaios de DMA operando em módulo de flexão no intervalo de temperaturas de 25 a 195oC. Curvas de variação dos módulos de armazenamento e de perda bem como da tangente delta com a temperatura mostraram mudanças significativas na resistência viscoelástica da matriz epoxídica com a fração incorporada de fibras de piaçava. Foram também encontradas alterações sensíveis na temperatura de transição vítrea e nos parâmetros de amortecimento em decorrência da interação dinâmica dessas fibras com as cadeias moleculares da matriz epoxídica.

 

The objective of this work was to investigate the dynamic-mechanical behavior of composites with different fractions of continuous and aligned piassava fibers, up to 30% in volume, as reinforcement for an epoxy matrix. This investigation was performed by means of DMA tests operating in a flexural mode within the temperature interval from - 25 a 195oC. Temperature dependent curves for the storage and the loss moduli as well as the delta tangent showed significant changes in the viscoelastic resistance of the epoxy matrix with the incorporated fraction of piassava fibers. Sensible changes in the glass transition temperature and the damping parameter were also found as a consequence of the piassava fibers dynamic interaction with the molecular chains of the epoxy matrix.
