Resumo

Compósitos ambientalmente corretos, fabricados a partir de fibras naturais, estão entre os mais investigados e aplicados atualmente. No presente trabalho, investiga- se o comportamento mecânico de compósitos de matriz de poliéster reforçados com fibras contínuas e alinhadas de juta, através de testes de flexão. Conjuntos contendo separadamente 0, 10, 20 e 30% em volume de fibras de juta foram alinhados ao longo de toda a extensão de um molde e as placas destes compósitos foram obtidas juntamente com matriz poliéster. Os corpos de prova fraturados foram analisados em MEV e os resultados foram avaliados visando algumas propriedades de flexão com a incorporação de fibra de juta.

 

Environmentally correct composites, made from natural fibers, are among the most investigated and applied today. In this paper, we investigate the mechanical behavior of matrix composites of polyester reinforced with continuous fibers and lined jute, through tests of strength. Separate sets containing 0, 10, 20 and 30% by volume of jute fibers were aligned along the entire length of a mold and plates of these composites were obtained with polyester matrix. The fractured specimens were analyzed by SEM and the results were evaluated to show some flexural with the incorporation of jute fiber.
