Resumo

Nesse trabalho, verificou-se a correlação entre os resultados de taxas de desgaste obtidos entre três ensaios abrasivos distintos: um representado um mono-evento abrasivo – esclerometria pendular, o segundo representado um ensaio a dois corpos – pino-lixa e, finalmente, o terceiro a três corpos – ensaio LTM. Foram comparadas oito ligas, sendo três ligas de ferro fundido branco alto cromo e cinco ligas de alumínio- silício. A relação entre os ensaios, materiais e taxas de desgaste foi, então, observada. Verificou-se que o ensaio de esclerometria pendular é inversamente relacionado com os resultados do ensaio pino-lixa, apesar de serem aparatos que produzem, a priori, eventos severos. Verificou-se, também, uma correlação direta entre o ensaio LTM e o ensaio de esclerometria pendular.

 

In this study, it was observed the wear rate correlation of three severe abrasive wear tests. Eight alloys, three chromium white cast irons and five aluminum-silicon alloys were tested in three different severe abrasive wear tests. The first test, represents a single abrasive event - single-pass pendulum, the second, represents a two body abrasive wear test - pin-on-disk, and the third represents a three body abrasive wear test - LTM test. The correlation among this tests, materials and wear rates were then observed. It was verified that the single-pass pendulum test has a negative correlation with the pin-on-disk test although both represent, at first, severe events. It was also verified that the LTM test has a positive correlation with the single-pass pendulum.
