Resumo

Vários estudos vêm sendo realizados em ligas com efeito de memória de forma, em especial as ligas a base NiTi devido a suas excelentes propriedades mecânicas e pronunciadas características como o Efeito Memória de Forma e a Pseudoelasticidade. A adição de terceiro elementos na liga NiTi permite alterar determinadas propriedades desta liga. Este trabalho avalia a influência do teor de Cu na liga base de NiTi. Através de análises térmicas e metalográficas observou-se redução significativa da histerese de transformação com o aumento no teor de Cu em substituição ao Ni em liga equiatômica de NiTi.

 

Several studies have been conducted in shape memory alloys, especially NiTi based alloys due to its excellent mechanical properties and pronounced features like Shape Memory Effect and Pseudoelasticity. The addition of third elements to NiTi alloy it is possible to change certain properties of this alloy. This work evaluetes the influence of the Cu content on the NiTi base alloy. Through thermal and metallographic analysis it was observed that there was a significant reduction in hysteresis of transformation temperature with the increase in the Cu content replacing Ni in a equiatomic NiTi alloy.
