Resumo
Os aços inoxidáveis duplex apresentam uma alta resistência mecânica e a corrosão. A microestrutura destes aços é constituída por quantidades aproximadamente iguais de austenita dispersa numa matriz ferrítica. Quando submetido a altas temperaturas, estes aços formam diversas fases que prejudicam suas propriedades mecânicas, principalmente a tenacidade. Neste trabalho foi estudado as fases formadas nas temperaturas de 600 e 850oC de um aço inoxidável duplex 220. Foram encontrados principalmente as fases sigma e chi nos contornos e carbonitretos no interior da ferrita.
he duplex stainless steels are materials with high mechanical and corrosion resistance. The microstructure of these steels is constituted by austenite disperse in ferritic matrix. When these steels are submitted to high temperatures, several phases and intermetallic compounds are formed and that influences in the mechanical properties, mainly in the toughness. In this work, were studied the phases formed at 600 and 850oC treatments in a duplex stainless steel 2205. Were observed the phases sigma and chi in the interfaces and carbonitrides in the ferrite.
