Resumo

Este trabalho tem objetivo de estudar a influência da macrogravidade (g > 1) na solidificação de materiais, para isso, foi utilizada a centrifuga desenvolvida no Laboratório Associado de Sensores e Materiais do Instituto Nacional de Pesquisas Espaciais (LABAS/INPE). O material escolhido foi a liga de chumbo-estanho eutética (Pb38,1Sn62,9 % p.) devido principalmente a seu baixo ponto de fusão. As caracterizações realizadas foram de densimetria e de microscopia eletrônica de varredura (MEV). Os resultados obtidos indicam que a macrogravidade afeta a diretamente redistribuição do soluto, e consequentemente, na microestrutura do material.

 

The objective of this work is to study the macrogravity (g > 1) influence on the solidification of materials, for this, was used the centrifuge developed in the Associated Laboratory of Sensors and Materials of the National Institute of Space Research (LABAS / INPE). The chosen material was the lead-tin eutectic alloy (Pb38.1Sn62.9 %wt). Characterized by densimetry and scanning electron microscopy (SEM). The results show that microgravity have directly affects in the solute redistribution, and consequently, in the material’s microstructure
