Resumo

As ligas do sistema Ti-(15-38)%Nb-3%Al, previamente temperadas a partir de 1000° C em água, foram aquecidas até 800° C durante a análise térmica diferencial (DTA), onde as ligas foram aquecidas com a taxa de 10° C/min e resfriadas com o forno em atmosfera inerte. Posteriormente, foi feita a caracterização da estrutura através de microscopia ótica e difração de raios-X. Verificou-se que as alterações na estrutura das ligas Ti-Nb-3%Al temperadas ocorrem em sentido de a'->a"(w)->B devido à modificação da composição de Nb como beta-estabilizador nestas ligas. Após o aquecimento destas ligas previamente temperadas, as estruturas iniciais sofrem alterações e aproximam-se das estruturas estáveis, apresentando as fases estáveis a (HC) e B (CCC), e ainda as metaestáveis a’, a”e w.

 

The alloys of the system Ti-(15-38)%Nb-3%Al, previously quenched from 1000° C in water, were heat up to 800° C during differential thermal analysis (DTA), where the alloys were warm at the rate of 10° C/min and cooled with the oven in inert atmosphere. Later, the microstructure was characterized through optical microscopy and X-ray diffraction. It was verified that the alterations in the structure of the Ti-Nb- 3%Al quenched alloys occur in the direction a'->a"(w)->B, due to the modification of the niobium content as beta-stabilizer in these alloys. After the heating of these alloys previously quenched, the structures initially suffer alterations and approach the stable structures, showing the stable phases (HC) e B (CCC), and still the metastable as a’, a”e w.
