Resumo

Foram realizadas quantificações da fase austenítica em um aço maraging 300, tratado termicamente em diferentes temperaturas e períodos de tempo, utilizando o método de comparação direta. A composição química da austenita e da martensita, determinada em trabalhos prévios para diferentes condições, foi levada em consideração no cálculo do fator de estrutura utilizado na quantificação. Foi também avaliada a informação obtida mediante os difratogramas com e sem lixamento prévio das amostras, com o objetivo de avaliar a instabilidade da austenita na superfície por cisalhamento. O comportamento da fração volumétrica de austenita ao longo do tempo de envelhecimento a 560oC, 600oC e 650oC foi determinado.

 

In this paper the austenite volume fraction of different samples of maraging steel grade 300 heat treated by different aging temperature and time conditions were determined by X-ray diffraction using the direct comparison method. The chemical composition of austenite and martensite analysed in previous works were taken into account to calculate the structure factors used in the quantifications. The metastability of the austenite phase was also investigated by measuring the austenite fraction with and without previous grinding. The curves of the amount of austenite against aging time at 560oC, 600oC and 650oC were plotted and analyzed.
