Resumo

A redução de espessura da parede do tubo sem prejuízo de sua resistência mecânica tem como benefício a redução em peso da estrutura. O advento da laminação controlada permitiu reduzir o carbono equivalente do aço sem afetar suas características mecânicas, uma vez que o efeito dos elementos de liga é substituído por condições específicas de reaquecimento e um controle rígido das temperaturas durante a conformação a quente. Estas condições visam o refino da microestrutura austenítica, o qual é transferido para a estrutura ferrítica resultante. Assim se consegue aumentar simultaneamente o limite e escoamento e a tenacidade do aço. O presente trabalho visa determinar correlações entre as propriedades mecânicas do aço API X70 e o grau de deformação aplicado na fase de acabamento da laminação controlada.

 

The reduction of wall pipe thickness without loss of mechanical strength has as benefit the weight reduction of the structure. The advent of the controlled rolling allowed the reduction of carbon equivalent of the steel without affecting its mechanical characteristics, as the effect of alloy elements is replaced by specific conditions of slab reheating and temperature evolution during plate rolling. The present work shows the correlations between mechanical properties of API 5L-X70 steel plates and the strain degree applied during the finishing stage of controlled rolling.
