Resumo

A problemática ecológica atual ligada ao uso inadequado dos recursos naturais requer a busca de alternativas sustentáveis que mitiguem a utilização desses recursos. Dentre as atualmente empregadas, destaca-se o uso de tijolos ecológicos modulares de solo-cimento, com a inclusão de resíduos, por ser este um sistema com baixo custo econômico, energético e de mão de obra. As atividades do setor de rochas ornamentais geram enormes quantidades de resíduos sólidos, que podem causar consequências negativas ao meio ambiente. Este trabalho consta da caracterização física de amostra de solo de uma área do município de Miracema-RJ, para fabricação de tijolos solo-cimento a serem empregados na construção de casas populares, bem como a determinação de parâmetros geométricos, capacidade de absorção e da resistência mecânica à compressão de amostras desses tijolos. Na caracterização física do solo observou-se a necessidade de adicionar material com fração argila na mistura do traço, sendo emprego pó de pedra Miracema. Os resultados indicaram condições razoáveis para o uso na fabricação dos tijolos solo-cimento com adição de resíduo de pedra

 

The current ecological problem related to the inadequate use of natural resources requires the search for sustainable alternatives that mitigate the use of these resources. Among the currently employed, the use of modular soil-cement bricks is highlighted, with the inclusion of residues, since this is a system with low economic, energy and labor costs. The activities of the ornamental stone industry generate huge amounts of solid waste, which can have negative consequences on the environment. This work consists of the physical characterization of a soil sample from an area of the municipality of Miracema-RJ, for the manufacture of soil-cement bricks to be used in the construction of popular houses, as well as the determination of geometric parameters, absorption capacity and resistance compression of samples of these bricks. In the physical characterization of the soil it was observed the necessity of adding material with clay fraction in the mixture of the trace, being the use of Miracema stone powder. The results indicated reasonable conditions for the use in the manufacture of the soil-cement bricks with the addition of stone residue
