Resumo

Realizou-se um estudo para diagnosticar as causas dos problemas de empenos, trincas e quebras que ocorriam nos 16 rolos do forno de Recozimento de Chapas Grossas da Acesita. Estes rolos tem a função de movimentar as placas durante o seu processo de recozimento. Os rolos são fabricados pelo processo de fundição por centrifugação no material ASTM-A-297 Gr HK40, resistente à elevadas temperaturas (1100°C). Dentro desta análise, a suspeita inicial era de que a causa destes problemas fosse do material de fabricação destes rolos, no entanto no decorrer da análise verificou-se que não se tratava apenas de material, tendo outras variáveis envolvidas nas causas tais como: sistema de acionamento da soleira; sistema estrutural do forno; controle dos parâmetros de temperaturas; procedimentos de manutenção. Baseado nas análises, pôde-se definir a causa fundamental dos problemas a qual tratava-se do efeito cumulativo de deformações dos rolos. Isto possibilitou as ações corretivas definitivas para solução dos problemas.

 

A study was carry out to diagnosis the causes of the problems of warps, cracks and breaks that occurred in the 16 rolls of the Continuous Annealing Furnace of the Acesita. These rolls have the function to put into motion the plates during the annealing process. The rolls are manufactured by the process of casting for centrifuging in the material ASTM –A 297 Gr HK40, resistant to the high temperatures (1100°C). In this analysis, the initial suspicion it was of that the cause of these problems was of the material of manufacture of these rolls, however in elapsing of the analysis verified that was not only about material, having other involved variable in the causes such as: door-sill’s drive system; furnace’s structural system; control of the parameters of temperatures; maintenance procedures. Based in the analyses, the basic cause of the problems could be defined which if was about the cumulative effect of rolls deformation. This made possible definitive the corrective actions for solution of the problems.
