Resumo

O presente trabalho teve como objetivo comprovar a formação do Ti (C, N) no interior do cadinho do AF 2 da CSN, por um estudo post mortem do cascão aderido à face quente do revestimento refratário. As amostras foram retiradas do interior do cadinho do AF #2 CSN durante a reforma parcial, ocorrida 2009. As amostradas foram caracterizadas pelas seguintes técnicas: Fluoresncência de Raio-X (FRX), difratometria de raios X (DRX) e Microscópio eletrônico de Varredura (MEV/EDS). Os resultados comprovaram que a formação do composto Ti (C, N) é mais efetiva na região da soleira do cadinho. No entanto não foi evidenciado o Ti (C, N) na parede do cadinho do AF 2.

 

This present study aimed to prove the formation of Ti (C, N) inside the hearth of #2 BF CSN, a “post mortem” studies was carrie out with the material in the interface of the refractory lining and the solidified hot metal. The samples were collected from inside the hearth of #2 BF CSN, in 2009. The samples were characterized by following analysis techniques: X Ray Difratometry (XRD), X Ray Fluorescence, Scanning Electron Microscopy (SEM/EDS). The results showed that more effective formation of Ti (C, N) in the region of the hearth bottom. Probably in function of moderated flow of liquids in this region during the campaign carrie out the deposition and anchoring of the Ti(C, N) crystals, resulting in the formation of protective layer. Was not observed the Ti(C,N) formation on the hearth walls of the #2 BF.
