Resumo

O objetivo do trabalho é demonstrar todos os passos seguidos pela ArcelorMittal Tubarão para implantar os Equipamentos de Proteção Individual (EPI) contra os efeitos produzidos pelo arco elétrico, conforme exigido pelo item 10.2.9.2 da Norma Regulamentadora no 10 do Ministério do Trabalho, aprovada em 08/12/04. Serão detalhadas as etapas de definição dos tecidos e materiais adequados à realidade siderúrgica, escolha do fornecedor dos EPI, testes dos EPIs, cálculo da energia incidente, padronização e implantação dos EPIs. O trabalho abordará todas as dificuldades e fatores de sucesso para atender à exigência desta norma que tem grande impacto principalmente nas manutenções elétricas. Contribuindo assim para o aumento da segurança nas atividades com risco de formação de arco elétrico.

 

The aim of this work is to present all the steps followed by ArcelorMittal Tubarão in the implementation of the Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) against the effects of the electric arc, in compliance with item 10.2.9.2 stated in the Regulatory Norm n.10 of the Ministry of Labour approved on 08/12/04. The details of the steps taken for the definition of fabric and materials suitable to the steel making reality, the choice of supplier and the testing of the PPE, the calculation of energy incidence, the standardization and implementation of the PPE, will be presented here. The work will approach all the difficulties and success factors to comply with the norm which has a great impact on electrical maintenance, thus contributing to an improvement in safety for the activities at risk of electric arc.
