Resumo

A estocagem de pregos, grampos e arames recozidos em pallets, para atender a um determinado nível de produção, era realizada em racks metálicos até um nível de quatro camadas. Com o aumento da produção destes produtos, esta forma de estocagem mostrou-se inadequada, já que necessitava de um maior número de racks, e quando não havia disponibilidade, a estocagem era realizada horizontalmente, ocupando uma área muito maior para armazenar toda a produção. E, quando havia necessidade de empilhamento de pallets, sem o uso de racks, ocorria o amassamento de caixas e risco de acidentes. A produtividade do setor não atendia às necessidades de controle, segurança e embarque, pois havia dificuldades no endereçamento dos lotes, na realização de inventário, com riscos de acidentes e avarias de manuseio causadas por empilhadeiras. Tornou-se necessário estudar o fluxo do produto entre a produção e o carregamento e investir em um sistema de transferência e de armazenagem que aumentasse a produtividade e a qualidade das movimentações dos produtos paletizados, e agilizando o embarque com o projeto “BELGO RÁPIDO”.

 

The stockpiling of nails, staples and wires in pallets to assist a certain production level was accomplished in metallic racks up to four layers. With the increasing production, this stockpiling method was shown to be inadequate, since it needed a larger amount of racks, and there was not enough space for the stockpiling due to the horizontally disposed stock. When there was need of piling up pallets without the racks, damage was inflicted to the boxes and there was risk of accidents. The productivity of the section didn't help controlling the needs. This was because there were difficulties in addressing the inventory lots, with risks of accidents and handling damage caused by forklifts. It became necessary to study the product’s movement between the production and the shipment. It was also important to invest in a storage system that increased the productivity and the quality of the movements of the pallets and increase the production with the “RAPID BELGO” (BELGO RÁPIDO) project.
