Resumo

Influence of temperature and iron precipitation on agglomeration/defluidization during reduction Fe2O3 was investigated in a visual fluidized bed reactor. The results showed that defluidization time decreased with increasing operating temperature and that the amount of iron precipitation required to reach defluidization was decreased. The re-fluidization tests were carried out to investigate the evolution of particle property in the course of metallization and defluidization. The results indicated that the reduce particles with higher metallization degree had a lower defluidization temperature, showing an increase of agglomeration tendency. The characteristics of reduced particles examined using thermo-mechanical analysis showed that the initial sintering temperature of reduced particles was decreased significantly with the increase of metallization degree, suggesting an enhancement in particle cohesiveness. The SEM and EDS analysis showed that agglomerates formed by the iron-iron connect with nano/micro structure.
