Resumo

com a necessidade da indústria mineral de se tornar mais sustentável, a filtragem dos rejeitos gerados nas usinas de beneficiamento é assunto de importante estudo. Este trabalho tem como objetivo a determinação da influência da adição de proporções de lamas na filtragem do rejeito da flotação de minério de ferro. Testes do tipo folha cerâmico e funil de buchner foram realizados e os resultados mostraram a queda da capacidade de filtragem com o aumento do percentual de lamas na amostra. A filtragem de mistura de lamas com rejeito arenoso pode ser uma solução sustentável para os rejeitos gerados no beneficiamento do minério de ferro. Os testes demonstraram que as composições avaliadas podem ser desaguadas por filtros de forma eficiente. Uma análise técnica econômica mais abrangente que envolva outras questões, como a geotécnica, deve ser feita para a definição de uma melhor proporção entre rejeito da flotação e lamas.

 

With the need for the mineral industry to become more sustainable, the filtration of the tailings generated in the beneficiation plants is an important study. This paper has the objective of analyzing the impact of the addition of slime proportions in coarse tailings from iron ore flotation. Ceramic leaf test and Buchner funnel tests were carried out and the results showed the decrease of the filtration capacity with the increase of the percentage of slime in the sample. Slimes mixing with coarse tailings can be a sustainable solution for the tailings generated in the processing of iron ore. Tests have shown that the compositions evaluated can be efficiently dewatered by filters. A geotechnical and economic analysis should be done to define a better ratio between flotation tailings and slimes.
