Resumo

O objetivo desse trabalho foi estudar o comportamento das partículas de minério de ferro em amostras de material granulado, sinter feed e pellet feed durante o processo de peneiramentos sucessivos em laboratório, avaliar estatisticamente a existência de diferenças entre o método de peneiramento e repeneiramento na mesma porção utilizada e confrontar os resultados com o erro de preparação e medida do processo de distribuição granulométrica. O trabalho abrangeu seleção de amostras, ensaios de peneiramentos sucessivos e testes estatísticos. Após o peneiramento da alíquota oficial destinada à análise granulométrica, a massa utilizada no primeiro peneiramento era alimentada novamente no set de peneiras. Desde modo, foi avaliado o viés entre os resultados oficiais e os dados após repeneiramento da amostra. Também foi avaliada a influência de peneiramentos sucessivos utilizando a mesma massa de amostra na caracterização granulométrica. Um dos resultados obtidos foi que não existem diferenças significativas entre o primeiro e o segundo peneiramento, o que permite em situações adversas repeneirar a mesma amostra. Vale ressaltar que este trabalho se baseia nos produtos referentes às minas em estudo, não podendo ser generalizado.

 

The aim of this work was studying the behavior of iron ore particles during successive sieving in the laboratory. Statistics differences were evaluated between the methods of screening and re-screening in the same portion used and compared with error of preparation and measurement of the size distribution. The work included samples selection, successive sieving tests and statistical analysis of lump ore, sinter feed and pellet feed. After official size analysis, the mass used in the first sieving was fed again on the sieving apparatus. Thus, the bias was assessed between the official results and the data after sample re-screening. The influences of successive sieving were analyzed using the same mass of the size analyses. One result indicates that there’s no significant difference between the first and second screening, which allows in adverse situations re-screening the same sample. It’s important observe that this work is based on products for the mines studied and can’t be generalized for all kind of ore.
