Resumo

Este trabalho estuda a influência da quantidade de pré-deformação em tração na capacidade de encruamento do aço inoxidável AISI 430E submetido à seqüência de carregamento tração/cisalhamento (seqüência ortogonal). Para tanto, o material foi pré-tracionado de 6%, 14% e 20% de deformação efetiva e posteriormente cisalhado monotônicamente. Transientes na taxa de encruamento, amaciamento e redução da ductilidade foram detectados e relacionados com a provável evolução da subestrutura do material.

 

This paper studies the influence of the amount of tensile prestraining on the work- hardening capacity of the AISI 430E stainless steel submitted to the loading sequence tension/shear (orthogonal sequence). The material was prestrained in tension up to 6%, 14% and 20% effective strain and later monotonically sheared. Work-hardening rate transients, softening and reduction of the ductility were detected and related with the probable substructure evolution of the material.
