Resumo

Este estudo visa analisar o efeito do ferro nas propriedades mecânicas e elétricas do alumínio EC solidificado unidirecionalmente. Com o intuito de se avaliar a influencia da variação do ferro no alumínio EC, adotou-se um critério de variação do ferro nos teores de [0,15; 0,20; 0,30 e Al-EC]%. As ligas foram preparadas por fundição em um forno tipo mufla, e posteriormente vertidas em uma câmara de solidificação unidirecional horizontal. A coleta dos dados térmicos foi efetivada através de termopares posicionados estrategicamente, em relação a interface Metal/Molde. As amostras produzidas foram usinadas e laminadas, e em seguida submetidas a ensaios de tração e resistência elétrica. Com o aumento do teor de ferro, houve uma significativa variação nos parâmetros térmicos, refletidos nos aspectos macro- estruturais. Ocasionando um aumento dos valores de resistência mecânica sem grandes perdas para as propriedades elétricas.

 

This study aims to examine the effect of iron in the electrical and mechanical properties of aluminium EC unidirectionally solidified. In order to assess the influence of the variation of the iron in aluminium EC, has taken up a criterion of variation in the iron content of [0.15, 0.20, 0.30, and Al-EC]% . The alloys were prepared by melting in a furnace type mufla, and subsequently included in a Board of unidirectional solidification horizontal. Data collection was carried out by means of thermal thermocouples positioned strategically, for interface Metal / Mold. The samples produced were machined and rolled, and then subjected to tests of traction and electrical resistance. With the increase in the content of iron, there was a significant variation in thermal parameters, reflected on aspects macro-structural. Building an increase in the values of mechanical strength without major losses for the electrical properties.
