Resumo

Este artigo refere-se à implantação de metodologia participativa na gestão sistêmica aos riscos e perdas, desenvolvido na Superintendência de Redução da Usiminas - Usina de Ipatinga. A utilização de técnicas de qualidade total, recursos de tecnologia de informação e indicadores estatísticos, possibilitou promover gestão por resultados. Entre outras ações, o sistema GPS contribuiu para maior envolvimento das equipes; maior sinergia com as parceiras; integração dos sistemas de gestão de segurança, meio ambiente, qualidade e manutenção; e com maior expressão, a redução do número de acidentes no primeiro e segundo ano após a implantação, da ordem de 58,5% e 29,4%, respectivamente.

 

This article refers to the implementation of participatory methodology in managing systemic risks and losses, developed in the oversight Reduction Usiminas Ipatinga. The use of total quality techniques, resources of information technology and statistical indicators, allowed to promote management for results. Among other things, the GPS system has contributed to greater involvement of team, increased synergy with partners, integrated systems for managing safety, environmental, quality and maintenance, and greater expression, reducing the number of accidents in the first and second years after implantation, the order of 58.5% and 29.4%, respectively.
