Resumo

O presente trabalho visa mostrar a economia gerada com o despacho direto do pátio interno da ArcelorMittal para o porto de Praia Mole. Essa vantagem competitiva pode ser obtida ao eliminar um estágio de movimentação entre os pátios de armazenagem e ao otimizar a logística de movimentação para o porto. Um estudo de tempos e movimentos foi feito para verificar a capacidade do processo de armazenagem e movimentação via carretas entre os pátios da empresa e o porto para verificar se o despacho direto seria viável sem comprometer endereços de armazenagem da produção. Com a entrada do coletor de dados na operação dos pátios, foi atribuído agilidade à logística de movimentação de placas da ArcelorMittal Tubarão, além de uma economia da ordem de US$1,200,000.00 por ano, com o despacho direto do pátio interno.

 

The present document aims to show the savings generated by the direct delivered from internal slab yards at ArcelorMittal to Praia Mole harbor. This competitive advantage can be gotten by eliminating a step of movement among the slab yards by optimizing the logistic to the harbor. A study regarding time and movements was done to verify the capacity of the storage process and movement by trucks between the slab yards of the company and the port, to prove if the direct dispatch would be feasible without compromising the addresses of production’s storage. With the contribution of the data collector system in the operation of the slab yards the ArcelorMittal Tubarão logistic agility was increased, beyond the economy of the order of US$1,200,000.00, with the direct dispatch from internal slab yards.
