Resumo

O desenvolvimento da fabricação de aço a oxigênio vem progredindo ao longo dos anos a partir de um conceito amplamente aceito na indústria, convertedor LD. O tempo de duração do sopro depende do projeto do bocal de lança e da vazão de oxigênio de trabalho. A maneira através do qual o jato de oxigênio interage com o banho metálico, tem influência marcante nas reações de refino e nas ejeções de metal/escória, afetando diretamente os resultados metalúrgicos e operacionais alcançados nos convertedores LD. O presente trabalho mostra os principais motivos que levaram ao desenvolvimento de um projeto de lança de quatro furos, faz uma comparação entre os bicos de três e quatro furos e apresenta resultados comparativos de processo tais como: tempo de sopro, rendimento metálico, FeO da escória, temperatura fim de sopro e consumo de fundentes (fluorita).

 

The development of the steel manufacture by oxygen blow has been improved the long years and nowadays it is a widely accepted in the industry, converter LD. The blowing time depends on the project of the nozzle of the lance and the outflow of work oxygen. The way through which the oxygen jet interacts with the metallic bath, directly has influence on the reactions of refining and the emulsion of metal/slag, affecting reached the metallurgic and operational results in the LD converters. The present work shows the main reasons that had led to the development of the lance with 4 holes, makes a comparison the lance of 3 and 4 holes and some comparative results such as presents between: time of blow, metallic yield, FeO of the slag, temperature blow end and consumption of fluorspar.
