Resumo

Uma análise térmica e fluidodinâmica do ferro gusa, contido no cadinho de um Alto- Forno é considerada neste trabalho. O modelo envolve solução de equações de Navier-Stokes para escoamento bidimensional turbulento (utilizando o modelo κ-ε), em conjunto com as equações de energia correspondentes, abrangendo energia térmica, variáveis de escoamento em regime permanente. As equações diferenciais são discretizadas, utilizando-se uma resolução numérica através de técnicas de elementos finitos, com auxílio dos softwares ANSYS/FLOTRAN. Os resultados permitem prever a localização da isotérmica de 1150oC que é de suma importância para o processo de fabricação, conseqüentemente pode-se desenvolver estratégias para minimizar o desgaste dos refratários do cadinho, prevenindo interrupções indesejáveis durante sua operação.

 

A dynamic analysis of the fluid flow and thermal behaviour of iron inside blast furnace hearth is considered. The model employs Navier Stokes two-dimensional turbulent κ-ε formulation, together with corresponding energy equations, the latter considering thermal energy and permanent fluid flow equations. The differential equations are solved by means of finite element tools, with the help of ANSYS/FLOTRAN software. The obtained results allow the determination of the 1150oC isothermal, which is a crucial element for pig iron production. The results is an analysis of potential importance to the iron making industry, evolving strategies for optimising energy consumption observing the quality of the final product, refractory wear, by means of control of the process parameters.
