A medição do peso da camada de zinco, depositado na tira no processo de galvanização eletrolítica, baseia-se na aquisição contínua da quantidade de zinco depositado no sentido transversal. O controle operacional da linha de galvanização eletrolítica da Usiminas (EGL) utiliza estas informações para realizar ajustes no processo com a finalidade de atingir os requisitos dos clientes referentes ao peso da camada de zinco por unidade de superfície, normalmente em gramas por metro quadrado. Este trabalho apresenta a metodologia empregada na substituição do equipamento de medição e os benefícios alcançados, tais como: maior disponibilidade do medidor de camada, redução no tempo de análise através da agilidade trazida com a visualização das medições nas estações da rede corporativa, maior número de informações relativas ao processo, redução de custos relativos à manutenção.
The measurement of coating weight of zinc deposited on the steel in the galvanizing line is based on the continuous acquisition of the amount of zinc deposited in the traverse direction. The operational control of the Usiminas galvanizing line (EGL) uses those information to accomplish fittings in the process with the purpose of reaching the requirements of the customers to the weight of the coating of zinc on the surface, usually in grams for square meter. This work presents the methodology used in the substitution of the measurement equipment and the reached benefits, such as: larger readiness of the measuring system, reduction the time of analysis through the agility brought with the visualization of the measurements in the stations of the net corporate, larger number of relative information to the process, reduction of relative costs to the maintenance.
