Resumo

As ultimas décadas foram marcadas por muitas mudanças tecnológicas, essas mudanças tiveram impactos diretos no meio ambiente, assim surgiu a necessidade de novos profissionais que pudessem implementar Sistemas de Gestão Ambiental. Este trabalho tem como objetivo mostra como o Engenheiro Ambiental é o profissional adequado para articular um Sistema de Gestão Ambiental, utilizando para isso a caracterização da profissão de Engenheiro Ambiental frente ao CREA, e a sua formação acadêmica, tomando como exemplo a grade curricular do curso de Engenharia Ambiental da Universidade Federal de Ouro Preto. O resultado do presente estudo, foi que o Engenheiro Ambiental corresponde perfeitamente as necessidades exigidas na implantação e manutenção de um Sistema de Gestão Ambiental adequado às Normas da ISO 14001, podendo utilizar seu conhecimento em todas as etapas de implantação e manutenção do sistema de gestão ambiental, tornando-se imprescindível atualmente sua presença em qualquer etapa da produção.

 

These last decades have been marked by many technological changes, these technologies have had right impacts in the environment, thus appeared the necessity of new professionals that could implement Environment Management’s Systems. This work shows, as the Environment Engineer is the best professional to articulate a Environment Management’s Systems, for this it was characterized the Environment Engineer profession about the CREA, and its academic formation. Taking as example the curricular grating of the course of Environment Engineer of the University of Ouro Preto. The result was that the Environment Engineer corresponds to the necessities demanded in the implantation and maintenance of a Environment Management’s Systems adjusted to the Norms of ISO 14001, being able to currently use its knowledge in every the stages of implantation and maintenance of the Environment Management’s Systems , becoming essential its presence in every stages of the production.
