Resumo

A finalidade deste trabalho é mostrar como identificar os mecanismos de degradação de matrizes para conformação a frio, bem como, evitá-los utilizando o tratamento termoquímico superficial de nitretação em conjunto com o revestimento PVD – Balinit Duplex ou revestimentos PVD a baixa temperatura (Balinit Arctic). O trabalho foi realizado analisando e catalogando várias matrizes para conformação a frio e seus principais mecanismo de degradação. Para a análise dos mecanismos de degradação das matrizes foram realizadas inspeções e caracterizações visuais, além de, uma análise minuciosa do processo e da aplicação. Além disso, o trabalho mostra como pode ser aumentada a vida útil da matriz utilizando o Balinit Duplex (nitretação a baixa pressão em conjunto com revestimento PVD) ou somente revestimentos PVD a baixa temperatura (Balinit Arctic). O trabalho mostra vários exemplos práticos de aumento de vida útil de matrizes para conformação a frio com excelentes ganhos em desempenho devido a serem tratadas superficialmente com o Balinit Duplex ou revestimentos PVD a baixa temperatura.

 

The purpose of this work is to show how identify the wear systems of dies during the cold conformation and show how to avoid these wear mechanisms applying Surface Thermo - chemical treatment of Nitriding together with PVD coating – Balinit Duplex and PVD in Low temperature(Balinit Arctic). This work was made analyzing different dies for cold conformation and the main wear mechanisms. For this analyses were realized visual inspection and criteria analyses in the process and application. Moreover, the work show the Dies cycle life improvement applying Balinit Duplex (low pressure nitriding with PVD coating) or only low temperature PVD coating (Balinit Arctic). This work shows many practical examples of cycle life improvement of cold conformation dies and excellent profits in performance because they were treated with Balinit Duplex or low temperature PVD coatings.
