Resumo

Analisaremos as principais necessidades dos laboratórios modernos e esclareceremos o papel dos sistemas para gerenciamento de informações laboratoriais - LIMS na indústria moderna e demonstraremos sua importância no aumento da produtividade, qualidade e redução dos custos laboratoriais e industriais. Além disso, analisaremos o papel dos tipos de sistemas mais populares utilizados atualmente na indústria (ERP, MES e PIMS), suas intersecções de funcionalidades com os sistemas LIMS, bem como as aplicações e estratégias típicas para integração dos sistemas LIMS aos demais sistemas industriais.

 

We will review the main needs of modern laboratories and will clarify the role of laboratory information management systems - LIMS in modern industry, as well as demonstrate its importance in increasing productivity, quality and reducing costs in laboratories and industries. Furthermore, we will analyze the role of the most popular types of systems currently used in industry (ERP, MES and PIMS), its intersections of features with LIMS systems as well as the typical applications and strategies for integration of LIMS systems with other industrial systems.
