PRACTICE OF BF LONG LIFE IN SHOUGANG GROUP

Resumo

In 2010, the life of No.1 BF and No.3 BF of Shougang Group was up to 16 years and 17 years respectively that had approached advanced international levels. The restrictive factors to influence the long campaign of BF hearth and stack were analyzed in this paper. Meanwhile the reasons and related technologies of BF long life were studied on No.1 BF, No.2 BF, and No.3 BF in Shougang Group. Restrictive factors of long life for blast furnace hearth are solved through a good integration of enhanced cooling and effective heating, and the factors for blast furnace stack are solved by means of forming stable slag skin cover in the lower part of furnace body and bosh. Thus the contradiction of intensified smelting and long life for blast furnace is well solved. Finally, the BF long life was realized through the daily maintenance measures such as keeping the active hearth condition, controlling the reasonable gas distribution, maintaining the reasonable operation profile, keeping steady cooling water temperature and pressures to extend the cooling stave life and so on. Moreover, the intensified smelting technologies such as BF protection by use of titanium-bearing material, spray-lining, grouting in the furnace body, cooling stave replacement and so on were also adopted on the other hand.
