Resumo

Atualmente os diamantes industriais são produzidos em somente 16 países. Embora seja notória a influência deste material sobre o desenvolvimento de qualquer país, no Brasil ainda não existe a produção de diamantes em escala industrial e, portanto, a demanda interna é dependente da importação deste material. Na busca pela implantação da produção industrial de diamantes, a UENF foi a segunda instituição do Brasil a realizar pesquisas nesta área. A partir dos resultados das pesquisas, básica e aplicada, foi desenvolvida a tecnologia experimental para obtenção de pó de diamante com granulometria de até 400

 

Now the industrial diamonds are produced at 16 countries. This material generates considerable influence on the development of the countries. Brazil doesn't produce diamonds synthetic in the industry. All amount of consumed diamonds is imported. The UENF, second institution of Brazil that acts in the area of the high pressures, developed the experimental technology for obtaining of diamond powder with size of up to 415 mm. In the result of the scientific and technological activities 10.000 carats of diamonds were produced. That once again demonstrates the Brazilian scientists possibilities. The developed technology possesses its own particularities: production for operation of 27 ±3 carats of diamonds, national materials for components of the synthesis, technological parameters for production of these components, low pressure parameters and temperature for synthesis, economy of chemical products and time in the extraction and purification of the diamonds.
