Resumo

A crescente demanda de carga metálica e a necessidade de aproveitamento dos resíduos gerados na CSN estimula o desenvolvimento de novas tecnologias de aproveitamento de resíduos. Neste trabalho são descritos os procedimentos para a produção de pelotas a partir da lama fina de aciaria LD e oxido de ferro sintético, gerado na decapagem ácida da CSN Paraná (material denominado URA). Com o propósito de avaliar os resultados da produção de pelotas, foram caracterizadas física e quimicamente as matérias primas utilizadas. A composição da mistura foi definida por um modelo de otimização do empacotamento dos materiais. Os testes de produção em escala experimental foram realizados na planta piloto de pelotização de resíduos, desenvolvida pela CSN. São apresentadas as caracterizações físico-químicas das pelotas produzidas. Os resultados sinalizam positivamente para a utilização destes resíduos no processo siderúrgico.

 

The increasing metallic charge demand and the necessity of utilization of the residues generated in the CSN stimulate the development of new technologies of utilization of residues. In this work it describe the procedures for the production of pellets from the fine BOF sludge and synthetic iron oxide, generated in the acid pickling of the CSN Paraná (called URA). With the intention to evaluate the results of the production of pellets, the raw materials had been characterized physically and chemistry. It a model of optimization of the wrapping of the materials had been utilized. The tests of production in experimental scale had been carried through in the plant pilot of pelletizing of residues, developed at CSN. The physical-chemistry characterizations of the produced pellets are presented. The results signal positively for the use of these residues in the siderurgical process.
