Resumo

Na fabricação de selantes metálicos para armazenamento de gás natural veicular é usualmente empregado o aço AISI 41B30H na forma de tubos sem costura pelo processo de extrusão rotativa. Neste trabalho, foram avaliadas as propriedades mecânicas de amostras deste material, submetidas a um tratamento térmico em temperaturas dentro da região intercrítica, para a produção de uma microestrutura bifásica (ferrita+martensita). Ensaios de tração e Charpy mostram que o aço bifásico AISI 41B30H, tratado termicamente, possui melhores propriedades de conformação do que o aço como recebido, isto é, normalizado. Este trabalho é parte de um projeto de P&D que visa à concepção e fabricação de cilindros leves do tipo II.

 

In the production of metallic cylinders for storage of natural gas vehicles, the 41B30H steel is one of the materials used in a form of seamless tubes by the process of flow forming. In this work, were evaluated the mechanical properties of samples of the steel AISI 41B30H, subject to a heat treatment at temperatures in the intercritical region, for the production of a microstructure biphasic formed by ferrite and martensite. Tests of tensile and Charpy show that the AISI 41B30H biphasic steel , treated, has better properties than the conformation of steel as received, i.e., normalized. This work is a part of R&D work on the design and production of type II cylinder for natural gas for vehicles.
