Resumo

A determinação quantitativa da fração volumétrica da austenita retida é fundamental para a avaliação das propriedades dos aços multifásicos TRIP (Transformation Induced Plasticity), ou seja, aços com plasticidade induzida por deformação. A austenita retida é uma fase de grande importância para os aços multifásicos, pois é responsável por melhorar algumas propriedades nestes aços, estando presente em quantidades superiores a 5%. A principal contribuição deste trabalho foi a quantificação da austenita retida de um aço 300M com microestrutura multifásica após ser submetido a tratamentos térmicos intercríticos e isotérmicos, por meio de medidas de saturação magnética e foram comparadas com as medidas obtidas por difratometria de raios X e microscopia óptica.

 

The accurate determination of the volume fraction of retained austenite is essential to the evaluation of the properties of multiphase TRIP steels. The retained austenite is a phase of great importance for the multiphase steels because it is responsible for to improve some properties in steels in amount greater than 5%. The main contribution of this study is the quantitative determination of retained austenite on 300M steel with multiphase microstructure after intercritical and isothermal heat treatments by means magnetic saturation and is compared with data from X-ray diffraction and light optical microscopy measurements.
