Resumo

A preocupação com o meio ambiente é uma nova exigência da sociedade moderna que se refletiu imediatamente em uma postura mais atenta da indústria em geral. Percebe-se então a real necessidade de se economizar recursos naturais e de reciclar resíduos, entre eles os resíduos de fios e cabos. Esta também é uma postura recente, visto que ainda persistem práticas incorretas, como a queima descontrolada do plástico para aproveitamento do metal a qual elimina o polímero que o envolve em vez de aproveitá-lo. Por outro lado, no passado, apenas poucos recicladores separavam o PVC, mas não o reciclavam, destinando-o a aterros sanitários. O principal objetivo desta pesquisa é realizar uma avaliação tecnológica para o desenvolvimento ambientalmente correto da reciclagem de fios e cabos, visando uma caracterização e quantificação dos produtos que podem ser obtidos através de um processo de reciclagem a partir de sucatas de fios e cabos obsoletos e averiguar os valores agregados dos materiais obtidos como produto.

 

The concern with the environment is a new requirement of the modern society that is reflected in a more intent position of the industry in general. One perceives then the real necessity of if saving natural resources and recycle residues, between them the residues of wires and cables. This also is a recent position, since still they persist practical incorrect and condemnable, as the uncontrolled burning of the residue for exploitation of the metal that eliminates the polymer that also involves it instead of to use to advantage it. On the other hand, in the past, only few recyclers separated the PVC, but they did not recycle it, destining it landfill. The main objective of this research is to carry through a technological evaluation for the environmentally correct development of the recycling of wires and cables, being aimed at a characterization and quantification of the products that can be gotten through a process of recycling from scrap of wires and obsolete cables and to inquire the aggregate values of the gotten materials as product.
