Resumo

Em uma atividade de mineração, a redução do tamanho das rochas é essencial para o processo de tratamento mineral seja na liberação física das partículas ou no aumento da superfície de contato para utilização de reagentes quando necessário. Sendo assim objetivo deste trabalho foi aumentar performance da britagem secundária e terciária na Instalação de Tratamento Mineral (ITM) Samambaia da Mineração Usiminas, elevando o aproveitamento dos revestimentos dos britadores cônicos. O propósito foi de reduzir a carga circulante nessa operação aumentando o tempo de operação dos revestimentos por meio da otimização de lógica de operação para controle de nível de câmara. Os resultados obtidos com este trabalho foram à elevação da taxa de alimentação da planta com a redução do percentual de carga circulante bem como o aumento da vida útil dos revestimentos dos britadores cônicos. Observou-se ainda que também houve um menor numero de paradas de manutenção para trocas dos revestimentos e consequente redução de custo.

 

In a mining activity, reducing the size of rocks is essential for the mineral treatment process, whether in the physical release of particles and size abilities or in increasing the contact surface for the use of reagents when necessary. Hence, the aim of the present work was to increase the performance of secondary and tertiary crushing in the Mineral Treatment Plant (ITM) Samambaia of Mineração Usiminas, increasing the use of the internal cover of the cone crushers. Its main goal was to reduce the rolling load, increasing the operating time of the internal cover through optimizing the crushing chambers level control logic. The results obtained with this work led to an increase of the feeding rate of the plant with a reduction of the percentage of rolling load, as well as the increase of the internal cover lining life of the cone crushers. It was also noted that there was even less maintenance downtimes to replace internal cover and therefore cost reduction.
