Resumo

Em 2008, foi detectado no Regenerador 2.3 do Alto Forno #2, a queda da parede refratária na câmara de combustão a 12 metros da base, durante manutenção preventiva para troca da válvula de ar quente -VAQ. Em caráter de emergência projetou-se concreto refratário para recompor a parede. Desde então, iniciou-se os estudos para a reforma parcial que ocorreu em 2009, juntamente com a reforma do Alto Forno # 2. A finalidade deste trabalho é apresentar de forma objetiva a situação encontrada nos refratários, as soluções adotadas e os reparos efetuados para manter as funções operacionais do equipamento.

 

In 2008, it was detected on Stove 2.3 of Blast Furnace #2, the fallen of the refractory wall in the combustion chamber, 12 meters far from the base, during the preventive maintenance service, for the replacement of the hot blast valve -VAQ. On emergency basis, refractory castable was gunned to rebuild the wall. Since then, studies were made to carry out a partial revamp, which took place in 2009, together with the revamp of Blast Furnace #2. This paper presents a brief description of the state of the refractory, the solutions adopted and the repairs made to maintain the operational functions of the equipment.
