Resumo

Este trabalho estuda a viabilidade técnica da fabricação de cimento Portland com uma mistura de resíduo proveniente do corte de granito e escória de aciaria LD. Para isso foi preparada uma mistura destes materiais de modo que a relação %CaO/%SiO2 desta mistura fosse 1,2. Esta mistura foi fundida e resfriada em água e no próprios forno, onde se realizou a fusão. Nas amostras resfriadas em água, o difratograma de raios-X, mostrou um material amorfo, e na resfriada ao forno, o difratograma apresentou as fases mineralógicas Akermanita e Gehlenita, as quais são consideradas como as fases mineralógicas ideais para a atividade hidráulica das escórias. Esta mistura foi adicionada ao clínquer para a fabricação do cimento Portland. Foram feitos ensaios com o cimento fabricado com a mistura e comparados as suas propriedades físicas e mecânicas com o cimento convencional.

 

This work studies the feasibility of manufacturing Portland cement with a mixture of waste from the cutting of granite and steel slag LD. For this we prepared a mixture of these materials so that the ratio%CaO /%SiO2 this mixture was 1,2. This mixture was melted and cooled in water and in their own oven, where they underwent fusion. In the samples cooled in water, the X-ray diffractogram showed an amorphous material, and cooled in the oven, the diffractogram presented and Gehlenita Akermanita mineralogical phases, which are considered as the mineralogical phases ideal for hydraulic activity of slag. This mixture was added to the clinker for making cement. Tests were made with the cement produced with the mixture and compared their physical and mechanical properties with the conventional cement.
